The new oil mill at the Complexe Agricole of the CAAS has been in operation since March 17 – over 1,000 kilograms of peanuts are processed here every day. The oil is bottled in 5-liter containers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alassane Bor\u00e9, Agricultural Director of the CAAS, thinks in local cycles for distribution: The oil goes back to where the peanuts come from: to the 40 surrounding villages, where it is sold directly through women’s groups and micro-shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This form of distribution not only strengthens the local economy, it also maintains a central value: the cycle of trust. Many women have entrusted their harvest to CAAS without checking the weight themselves. The proceeds were later paid out directly in the villages – without a single complaint. It is an expression of a deeply rooted cultural principle: trust as social capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
