Good news from CAAS: Despite the difficult situation, 85 young women have now been able to start their training at CAAS. At first, due to the political situation and the fuel shortage, only about half of the selected applicants were able to travel to the campus. We are therefore all the more relieved and grateful that all trainees have now arrived safely.
The women have already begun their practical training in earnest. Working in small groups, they are learning key techniques of small-scale agriculture – such as processing cassava, an important regional crop.
We are very pleased that the course could begin in full despite the challenging circumstances, and we wish all trainees a successful and rewarding time at CAAS.
