Graduation of the 7th course

On March 8, the 7th course was bid farewell with the presentation of certificates from the CAAS. 61 young women were able to successfully complete their training.

Since mid-October 2024, they have been taught the theory and practice of small-scale agriculture and horticulture and food processing and preservation methods in working groups of around 15 trainees each.

The majority of these young women had dropped out of school between the 8th grade and the “Brevet de Technicien” qualification for vocational training. The skills they learn at CAAS open up opportunities for them to earn an income through self-employment.

The CAAS team is now busy selecting the new trainees. The candidates now come from all regions of Mali. Between 70 and 80 young women are to be selected. A pre-selection was made by a commission of the National Transitional Council, with which CAAS has already worked successfully in the past.

Participants of the 7th course wait in front of the campus to be picked up for training at the Complexe Agricole
